The Concert Band

The Concert Band invites musicians to join the band to rehearse and perform a wide-ranging repertoire, including marches, show tunes and classical band literature. The band rehearses weekly, August through May on Monday evenings, and performs many concerts in and around Tinley Park throughout the year. The Concert Band also performs at and rides on a float in the parade for the annual Tinley Park Autumn Fine Arts Festival.

In addition to local concerts, the band has participated in the Hobart Summer Music Concert Series, the Joliet Bicentennial Park Concert Series and in the Cavalcade of Bands.

The Concert Band's instrumentation includes flutes (and piccolos), clarinets (including alto, bass and contrabass), oboes, bassoons, saxophones (soprano, alto, tenor, and baritone), French horns, trumpets (or coronets), euphoniums, trombones (tenor and bass), tubas, string bass and percussion.
