Arts Alive! Jazz Band

The Arts Alive! Jazz Band performs year-round at community events and private parties. Our repertoire includes everything from Big Band-era classics to jazz standards to pop and rock hits.  Jazz Band members do not have to be in the Concert Band and the Jazz Band rehearses as needed.

The Jazz Band has participated in the Hobart Summer Music Concert Series, “Parks and Recreation Day” at the Illinois State Fair, at Tinley Park-Park District's “Concerts in the Park”, Tinley Park's Zabrocki Plaza Concert Series, the Oak Park Avenue Mainstreet Association Caribbean Block Party, the Discover Tinley community awareness fair and at the annual Tinley Park Autumn Fine Arts Festival. The Jazz Band has also played at numerous private parties and events.

The Jazz Band's instrumentation includes saxophones (alto, tenor, baritone and sometimes soprano), trombones (tenor and bass), trumpets, piano, bass, rhythm guitar and percussion.
