Hello again everybody, Linda here.

I hope that everyone has successfully made it through the cold and very snowy days we've had and got your lives back to the usual day-to-day process that makes us who we are. One woman that always has a lot on her day-to-day plate is a good friend of mine from our saxophone section. She is a person who is always eager to help out no matter how busy she is. This is also her busiest time of the year because she is a CPA who does part-time tax preparation whenever she can schedule it in between her full-time job and extracurricular activities. I believe I heard her say that she wakes up at about 3:30 a.m. just about every morning to start her day - Ugh! Let's get to know her a little better, here's Ms. February, Jeanette Kreuz!! Woo hoo!

Sterling Morton High School) How long have you been a member of the Arts Alive Band? Since 1987 Our February BMOTM with her husband: Steve “Wheezer” Kreuz What instrument(s) do you play? Flute and saxophone. How long have you been playing it/them? Flute-26 years Saxophone-15 years Are you involved in any other musical groups, either inside or outside the Arts Alive system? If so, which ones? Southwest Community Band, Grace Notes (Flute choir), Arts Alive Jazz Band and church musician. What do you like most about this group? Friends, music, fun times. X Steve and Jeanette touring ancient castles in Germany. Describe your best/favorite band moment. Germany I & II What are your hobbies? Music and collecting musical instruments and plates. (Commemorative plates, NOT musical ones!) X It also looks like Jeanette is also good at collecting musicians from both sides of the ocean to pose with her for pictures. What is your favorite Jell-O flavor? Peach. Is there anything else you want your band friends to know about you? (Editor's note: Jeanette also serves on our band board and makes excellent Jell-O shots, which I'm sure that most of the band is aware of already! : ) -LR) It's fascinating how many discussions in this band come back to Jell-O and Jell-O shots.
