Linda Good

for AUGUST 2001

Hello All!

Unfortunately, this is the time during summer where I tend to say, "Summer is almost over." The school supplies are abundant in stores everywhere to remind us that the start of school is near and that another carefree summer is drawing to a close. Fortunately, August is also a time when band rehearsals start up again to soften the blow. August is also an exciting fun-filled concert time for the band and jazz band. Please check our web site calendar for dates, locations and show times. We hope that you are available to attend our performances and support the hard work/fun that we strive to put into each concert.

Our August band member of the month hails from our flute section. She is a fine musician that also fills in as director when needed. She is a friendly person with a great smile. Let's get to meet Mrs. August-Linda Good!

Happily mitted,
Linda Riha
BMOTM Editor

Describe your best/favorite band moment:
Playing in Joliet in that beautiful band shell [Bicentennial Park concert - August 2000].

Reading, walking, bike riding.

Ever the professional, Linda has her flute always ready to play, even if all the other Grace Notes are just goofing off.

What is your favorite Jell-O flavor?
Cherry.

Is there anything else you want your band friends to know about you?
Bob & I have two daughters who are also musicians. (Editor's note: Linda has the opportunity to direct the band from time to time. She is a very productive director considering that our group can get unruly at times. She handles herself and the group very well in that role. : ) -LR)
