Mike Doody

for SEPTEMBER 2000

Hello again everybody, Linda here. I hope everyone has had a fulfilling and relaxing summer.

After about a month or so 'off', the band started rehearsals again in the middle of August, specifically for the performances we had in August. In September, we tend to start our season again with rehearsals filled with new music and hopefully some new faces as well. We really enjoy seeing new faces!!

For September, I have chosen a funny man who keeps us laughing. I have known him since he first joined this band, and he is a very outgoing and friendly person. If you ever feel down in the dumps or just have a hankering to hear some rather obscene body noises (made with his mouth), then Mr. September is your man.

Now, without further ado, here is a member of our percussion section, Mike Doody. Woo hoo!!! (By the way, happy 30th birthday, Mike!!)

Faithfully Yours,
Linda Riha

living with her dad, Mike.

What do you like most about this group?
Terry Elliott and having a good time playing what I love with my friends.

Describe your best/favorite band moment.
Toad's shorts, people with split-personalities, screaming trumpet solos and both trips to Germany. What a blast.

What are your hobbies?
Parenting, Kite Flying, Shark diving, hot-coal walking, making sculptures out of butter, clowning around and needlepoint.

What is your favorite Jell-O flavor?
I like them all mixed together to create some type of brownish Jell-O. Mmmmmmm!!!!

Is there anything else you want your band friends to know about you?
I like girls who smile, long walks on the beach, rainbows, and throwing pennies at the Timpani.

(Editor's note: I think he also had a good time tormenting me on the bus trip going to and from Springfield for our jazz band performance at the State Fair. Since he had the seat in front of me, he was turned around in his seat with his face two inches from mine while saying the phrase 'I like Santa!!!' many times. What a nut case(!!!), but I like him and I consider him a great friend. - LR)
