The
Doody's Discover Tinley In
our constant battle to attract attention, the band's sponsoring organization set
up an informational booth at the 2000 Discover Tinley community fair.
Proudly manning our booth for several fateful hours that Saturday were percussionist
Mike Doody, his lovely wife and flutist Charisse Doody and their
daughter Emerson. Proudly
representing the band, the Doody's look forward to their shift.
 Dwarfed
by the elaborate display, Mike's attempts to interest a passerby in a Jazz Band
CD.
 Having
caught someone's attention, Mike starts to reel them in.
 In
an obviously unstaged photograph, Arts Alive! coordinator Barbara
Rose accepts a complimentary CD from Mike.
 Charisse
and Emerson can hardly contain their excitement as they work the booth.
 Marcia
Cummins makes an inquiry about the band.
 Mike
tells Marcia that he doesn't know where her husband is on the Monday evenings
he's supposed to be at rehearsal.
 Inspired
by giveaways at other booths, Mike attempts to stimulate interest in the band
by holding a raffle for this cute baby.
 Randy
Tietz and Mike share a moment from the 1994 Büdingen trip.
 Much
to Mike's chagrin, Emerson is vigorously tickled by a Teletubby(tm).
 Please
listen to our CD!
