Arts
Alive Jazz at the 2002 Illinois State Fair
Once
again, the Arts Alive! Jazz Band hopped on the bus and headed
to the Illinois State Fair on Park District and Conservation Day.
As is always the case, the only thing hotter than the band was the weather.
A big thank you goes out to Suzanne McFadyen for serving as our photographer! The Arts Alive! Jazz Band en route to the
State Fair.
 Pam,
Judy, Linda and Andy enjoy the spacious comforts of motor coach travel.
 Doody
and Lisa Z strictly follow the no beer rule!
 Hey...that's
us!
 The
Arts Alive! Chorale also made the trip to the State Fair. Bob (standing,
center) is either singing an awesome doo-wop solo or the carnival
food is starting to fight back.
 Our
sax section in action.
 Our
trombone section hard at work.
 Our
trumpet section rips through another chart.
 Ron
G. and his bari-sax in a scintillating solo.
 There's
nothing like good sax, and here is Bob Good on an alto solo.
 Brian
is caught on camera using zoom technology.
 Why
is Dan smiling? Doody has just been pinned. (See inset, lower right.)
 With
his mother Judy's blessing, the Jazz Band dedicated the 2002 State Fair trip
to their dear departed friend Eric Healy. Zigga-zagga-zigga-zagga...hoy,
hoy, hoy!
